TAIPEI, Taiwan, August 9, 2012 – AURORA Corp. (Ticker: 2373 TT / 2373 TW) today announced consolidated net sales for July 2012 of NT$979 million, down 10% from June and 7% from the same month last year, respectively. For the first seven months of the year, Aurora reported consolidated net sales of NT$7.62 billion, a 5% increase from the year-ago period.
Parent-only net sales in July decreased 2% from June and 5% from the same month a year ago to NT$222 million, separately. For the first seven months of the year, parent-only sales of NT$1.61 billion was down 2% compared with the same period a year ago.
In China, heavy rainstorms in Northern region led to lower July net revenue at 97 million RMB, down 18% from June and 14% from the same month last year. Therefore, China’s contribution to the company’s total sales declined to 46%. For the first seven months of the year, China revenue increase 2% from a year ago to 789 million RMB. By business segment, the office automation, office furniture and equipment revenue registered year-over-year changes of -3%, 13% and -13% for the seven-month period.
