TAIPEI, Taiwan, September 7, 2011 ?? Aurora Corp. (Ticker: 2373 TT / 2373 TW) today announced consolidated net sales for August 2011 of NT$1.09 billion, up 4% month-over-month and 2% year-over-year. For the first eight months of the year, Aurora reported consolidated net sales of NT$8.38 billion, a 5% increase from the year-ago period.
August parent-only net sales was NT$245 million, up 5% MoM and 6% YoY. For the first eight months of the year, parent-only net sales totaled NT$1.88 billion, a 9% increase from the year-ago period.
August net sales in China rose 24% to 119 million RMB, driven primarily by demand for office automation (OA) systems and office furniture. The OA, furniture and office equipment segments recorded growth rates of 15%, 30% and 19%, respectively. For the first eight months of the year, net sales in China totaled 895 million RMB, a 15% increase from the year-ago period.
