TAIPEI, Taiwan, October 11, 2011 ?? Aurora Corp. (Ticker: 2373 TT / 2373 TW) today announced consolidated net sales for September 2011 of NT$1.12 billion, up 3% month-over-month and flat over the year-ago period. For the first nine months of the year, Aurora reported consolidated net sales of NT$9.5 billion, a 4% increase from the year-ago period.
September parent-only net sales was NT$242 million, flat over August and up 4% year-over-year aided by office furniture growth. For the first nine months of the year, parent-only net sales totaled NT$2.13 billion, a 9% increase from the year-ago period.
September net sales in China rose 20% to 127 million RMB, driven primarily by demand for office automation (OA) systems and office furniture. It also marked the first time China monthly sales overtook Taiwan as the biggest revenue contributor. The China OA, furniture and office equipment segments recorded growth rates of 11%, 27% and 21%, respectively. For the first nine months of the year, net sales in China totaled 1.02 billion RMB, a 16% increase from the year-ago period.
