June Consolidated Revenue Up 10% YoY on Pro-forma Basis

TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 10, 2013 - Aurora Corp. (Ticker: 2373 TT / 2373 TW) today reported consolidated net sales for June 2013 of NT$920 million, a decrease of 16% from a year ago. For the first six months of the year, cumulative revenue declined 23 % to NT$5.14 billion from the year-ago period.
 
On a pro-forma basis, excluding the revenue from Aurora Telecom, June net sales grew by 10% year-over-year. For the first six months of the year, pro-forma revenue rose by 4% to NT$5.14 billion from the year-ago period.
 
June revenue in China increased 8% to 128 million RMB from the year-ago period. For the first six months of the year, cumulative revenue rose by 4% to 720 million RMB from the year-ago period to represent 67% of the total revenue, in which office automation grew by 26% to record monthly sales of 49 million RMB from the year-ago period. By business segment, the office automation, office furniture and equipment revenue recorded year-over-year changes of 25%, 8% and -32% for the six-month period, respectively.
 
Aurora's OA business in China and Aurora's Customer Service Center entered the 8th Best Customer Service in China Awards competition and were honored in July for "Best After-sales Service," "Best Service Management," and "Best Customer Service Center." For seven months, the award organizers used a secret customer evaluation system to fully assess the service of participating companies. The process included calling companies for information, using their services, filing complaints, returning merchandise and having goods repaired to accurately evaluate the caliber of their service. 
 
The China OA business has long had a "248 machine maintenance" program in place to provide customers unrivaled service. The policy commits Aurora to respond to a problem within 2 minutes, start repairing the machine within 4 hours, and solve the problem within 8 hours. The approach also relies on information from Aurora's Customer Service Center to ensure the best after-sales service and make customers feel good about buying and using Aurora products. The recent award for best after-sales service clearly reflected a high level of customer satisfaction and contributed to the China OA business's record performance.
