During work breaks, employees can stand by the full-length windows overlooking the green park, or sit on a swing to contemplate and unwind, creating moments of ease amidst high-pressure work.
For the new generation, comfortable office design is now a critical factor—beyond salary and benefits—in the decision-making process for employment.

A Workplace Design Fusing Creativity, Vitality, and Utility
AURORA Furniture and AURORA Interior Design (AID) applied the "Activa Solution," which encompasses five work modes—Focus, Collaborate, Learn, Socialize, and Relax—to create a human-centric, diverse, and agile workplace ecosystem. The layout balances open plan with needs for privacy and learning, enabling employees to achieve optimal efficiency through a state of "focused mind and relaxed body."
Realizing the Conceptual Blueprint: Injecting Vitality into the Space
The renovation of the SYSTEX subsidiary aimed to create a vibrant and high-performing environment to attract talented young engineers, allowing them to showcase creativity and exchange ideas freely.
Leveraging years of practical experience in office planning and design, AURORA helped the client translate abstract ideas into concrete design solutions. Various configurations of discussion tables and chairs were interspersed throughout the workspace, forming impromptu collaboration and meeting zones for instant, agile teamwork and communication.
Weaving Narrative into the Spatial Atmosphere
Varying heights of discussion tables demonstrate flexible space utilization. Whiteboards and spatial dividers were cleverly designed to convey a unique narrative and theme, each featuring distinct colors and inscriptions.

Facilitating an Agile Work-Life Experience
In response to increased virtual meetings and business calls, phone booths were installed. This variety of discussion spaces supports greater employee choice and more flexible working postures.

A Dynamic and Engaging Workplace
The incorporation of swings has gained popularity, but the design challenge lies in properly setting boundaries between focused work and relaxation zones. To prevent distractions during social breaks, AURORA suggested designating these soft seating areas as the office's unique "Meditation Rooms."
The "Meditation Room" is enclosed by acoustic panels and furnished with booth seating, reclining chairs, and hanging chairs. Coupled with warm, textured wall designs and carpeting, this space is designed for mental decompression, socializing, and reflection—allowing employees to recharge for a subsequent boost in efficiency.
Addressing Employees' Demand for Openness and Flexibility
The design respects the varying work paces of different professionals by planning diverse types of communal spaces throughout the office.

Human-Centric Design: Creating a Workspace for Resonance and Empathy
Addressing the needs of diverse generations, SYSTEX adopted an open-minded approach to foster a positive environment, enhancing employee comfort, attracting talent, and boosting productivity and creativity.
The original staff area consisted of rigid, high-partitioned, standardized workstations, isolating employees into individual cubicles. Usage habit research revealed frequent movement for discussion. Consequently, space previously allocated to cabinets was repurposed to design various discussion and negotiation areas, enabling immediate, localized collaboration. The inclusion of height-adjustable desks further adds flexibility to discussions, eliminating the need for all participants to relocate to a formal meeting room.
Without a traditional reception desk, a buffer zone with simple tables and chairs was created along the path from the entrance to the work area. This multi-functional space serves as a quick negotiation spot and a transition area for employees to mentally prepare for the workday. It has become a highly popular and utilized area.
By discarding the heavy, high partitions, the new office is configured with open-plan workstations and height-adjustable desks, resulting in a bright and visually transparent environment.Employee seating adopted a fluid, non-assigned "hoteling" concept. The office design successfully introduced a new working modality, fundamentally transforming the corporate work culture.
Extending the "Activa" concept, AURORA Furniture and Dazhen Design planned a dedicated fitness area. The simple equipment and semi-partitioned layout offer employees opportunities for social interaction or self-relaxation during the workday. The area incorporates SYSTEX’s patented smart lockers, developed in collaboration with a partner, which are opened via employee mobile phones. This integration of technology within an immersive, gym-like setting delivers a cutting-edge, intelligent work experience.
Integrating a Wellness Culture
Bringing an immersive, gym-like scene into the office facilitates the cultivation of a wellness culture among employees.

Rhythm and Relaxation in Workflow
Relaxation, a key component of Activa, bridges the switch between Focus and Collaboration modes, ensuring employees maintain peak condition for subsequent tasks.

AURORA Creating a Better Office Experience.
Through on-site transformation, SYSTEX unveiled a completely new workplace. The spatial layout, radically different from its predecessor, has become a high-demand utilization hub. The positive feedback on the actual work experience and the vibrant atmosphere now permeating the workplace affirm this transformation as a highly valuable process.
