To sustain the continuous expansion of its research and development team, a comfortable and spacious workplace was critically needed to attract top talent. Following multi-faceted internal assessments, GARMIN presented its requirements for a new office layout. AURORA, aligning closely with the client’s vision while integrating creative elements, designed a workplace atmosphere free of rigid barriers.
Integrating New Wellness Assets
Recognizing that the R&D teams spend extended hours at their desks, AURORA introduced the electric height-adjustable desk as a new core asset, making it standard equipment for every GARMIN employee to ensure comfort and health.

Given that many of GARMIN's senior executives are from Western cultures, the concept of implementing sit-stand desks was rapidly embraced by the corporation. In alignment with the industry sector, the design integrated diverse functional areas, including a gym with separated wet/dry changing rooms, and a high-quality café. Breaking away from the monotonous office paradigm, the design blended the warm softness of wood elements with industrial aesthetics. This deliberate mix, coupled with interspersed public spaces featuring relaxed, diverse styles, allows employees to break free from rigid office thinking and foster unfettered creativity.
