January Consolidated Sales of NT$864 Million Up 20% YoY

Month in Review

TAIPEI, Taiwan, February 7, 2013 - Aurora Corp. (Ticker: 2373 TT / 2373 TW) today reported consolidated net sales for January 2013 of NT$864 million, down 6% from December and down 15% from last January. The result had no contribution from Aurora Telecom, which Aurora owned but sold a majority stake to Tsann Kuen, one of Taiwan's largest IT and consumer electronics retail chain, in October 2012.

On a pro-forma basis, excluding the revenue from Aurora Telecom, January net sales grew strongly by 20% year-over-year.

In January, Aurora's China operations experienced slowing public- and private-sector purchase activity as the Lunar New Year Holidays approached. January revenue in China decreased 8% to 124 million RMB from December but shot up by 27% from last January. China's share of total revenue reached 66% in the month, exceeding Taiwan's by a large margin. By business segment, the office automation, office furniture and equipment revenue recorded year-over-year changes of 48%, 22% and 12%, respectively.
